QR Code Generator
Type a link like https://calcwhen.com and a real QR code appears — version-sized automatically, with level-M error correction, so it still scans with a corner smudged or a logo over the middle.
How it works
Type or paste a link — a menu, a Wi-Fi notice (as text), a product page, a payment handle — and the code is drawn instantly, sized to fit your content. Right-click or long-press to save it for print. Shorter content makes a simpler code that scans faster and prints smaller; the panel tells you the version and grid size so you know what you are holding.
Unlike many free generators, nothing here phones home, wraps your link in a redirect, or expires. The code encodes exactly the text you typed — scan it with any phone to verify before you print a hundred copies.
The method
A full QR encoder runs in your browser: byte mode, error-correction level M, the smallest fitting version from 1 to 10 (up to roughly 270 characters), Reed–Solomon error-correction codewords, and the standard module placement with mask 0. The result is a specification-valid code, not a look-alike image.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The code contains your text directly — no redirect service in between — so it works forever, or at least as long as the link it points to does.
How much text fits in a QR code?
At this error-correction level, up to about 270 characters. Codes can hold more at lower correction, but M is the sweet spot: dense enough for links, tough enough to survive print wear.
Can I put a logo in the middle?
Level M tolerates about 15% of the code being covered or damaged, so a small centred logo usually still scans. Always test-scan the finished print before a big run.
